When a site runs WordPress, the explorer reads the asset paths in its homepage HTML, so the active theme folder and the plugin folders loading scripts or styles on that page are listed by name. That is usually enough to see whether a site uses a page builder, a commercial theme or a particular SEO, cache or form plugin. Two limits apply: only plugins that load something on the page you analyse can appear, and caching or asset-combining plugins that merge files into a single bundle hide the individual folder names. Shopify themes are named the same way when the store exposes them.
Hosting & infrastructure
You also see where the site actually lives: IP address, reverse DNS, ASN and network owner, hosting country, the CDN or proxy in front of the origin, and the HTTP version negotiated (HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2 or HTTP/3). DNS information
The DNS section lists the live records for the domain — A and AAAA for the host, MX for mail, NS for the authoritative name servers, plus TXT and CNAME entries — and names the mail and DNS providers it recognises. Registrar, creation and expiry dates, domain status and calculated domain age come from the public WHOIS record. Since privacy rules took effect, most registrant names and emails are redacted by registrars, so expect the dates and registrar to be reliable and the contact fields to be masked.
