SEO Tools for Wix Users

Wix's SEO settings show what you entered. These free tools show what your published Wix pages actually send to search engines.

“Is Wix good for SEO?” is the wrong question once your site is already live. The useful one is narrower: what does your Wix site output, page by page, and which of the platform's limits are you running into? The tools below answer that with live checks on the URLs you enter. They are free, work in your browser and need no sign-up; the scored ones return a 0–100 result with a list of fixes.

Start with structured data, because it is easy to assume Wix handles it everywhere. Wix adds markup automatically only on certain page types, such as products and blog posts. A services page, an about page or a menu gets nothing unless you add custom JSON-LD yourself, and the Wix field for it has firm limits: JSON-LD only, under 7,000 characters per markup and up to five markups per page, and Wix Customer Care does not help debug it. So the workflow is: run the page through the Structured Data (Schema) Checker to see what is already there, draft a compact block in the Schema (JSON-LD) Generator, paste it in, then check the live page again to confirm it parsed.

Images are the second gap. Wix assigns uploaded images cryptic file names that you do not control, which can weaken their chances in Google Images. Alt text is the part you do control, and image-heavy templates make it easy to skip. The Image ALT Text Checker lists every image on a page and flags the ones with no description.

Third, speed. Independent testing has found that Wix pages can score well on overall load while server response stays slower than on some competing builders. The Page Speed & Size Test separates the two, reporting server response time (TTFB) alongside total load and page weight, so you can see which one is actually holding a page back.

For a general checkup, the On-Page SEO Audit scores titles, headings, images and indexability, and the Meta Tag Analyzer confirms your SEO settings made it into the live tags. Running a local service business on Wix? The Local SEO Audit checks your name, address and phone details plus LocalBusiness markup.
